# What is Star?
Star is a fundraising platform for the next generation of founders. We help early-stage builders raise capital through *live token sales*.
The benefit is simple: **speed** and **distribution**.
* Instead of spending months raising a seed round or applying to accelerators, you can raise in less than 48 hours and get back to building.
